This competition was with the fabric printing company Fashion Formula. To enter you had to explain your concept with drawings and mood boards to illustrate what your final outcome would be. I entered my project for a child's interior. The concept for this was on herbal and medicinal plants so was eye catching and contained lots of fun colours.
Epson Competition
Winner
For this competition, I had to propose how I would create an interesting sustainable fabric piece using an Epson sublimation printer. My proposal was to use old clothes that have holes or stains in as well as recycling material scraps to create interesting manipulated work. I would then digitally print on the fabric before or after manipulating it to create interesting designs that could be used on clothes as statement cuffs and borders.
Bradford Textiles Competition
Commendation Award
For this competition, I had to show a printed textile design for fashion that showed creative potential. I submitted a print that I had created using Procyon dyes painted onto an open screen, I then made this into a repeat on Photoshop. I also include a manipulated piece of fabric with the print to show the creative potential of the work.
